I wanted to try something different for my voice students this quarter. Aside from teaching and practicing Curwen's Hand Signs, I wanted to have a song of some sort to accompany it. I've tried it with a couple of my voice students already and they seem to really like it!!
If you don't know what "Curwen's Hand Signs" are, it is a series of hand signs that correlate to a major scale sung by the student. Below you will find an image of what those hand signs look like.

You start from the top left and work your way over to the right and then move on to the second row. (DO-RE-ME-FA-SOL-LA-TI-DO)
The song I have chosen to practice these hand signs this quarter is "Do-Re-Mi" from the Sound of Music! Many of you parents will KNOW this fantastic little tune and many of your kiddos wont so this will be the perfect opportunity to help your child out and practice your hand signs with them!
Here is a link so you can practice along with the video if needed!
Lyrics:
Doe, a deer, a female deer Ray, a drop of golden sun Me, a name I call myself Far, a long, long way to run Sew, a needle pulling thread La, a note to follow Sew Tea, a drink with jam and bread That will bring us back to Do
